• 1st Filipino President of the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA, 1919-1920)
• 1st Filipino Assistant Director of the Bureau of Animal Husbandry (1930)
• 1st Filipino to establish a veterinary hospital in the Philippines

About the diary: The entries are taken from two sources. The first is Memoirs of Victor Buencamino, Historical Conservation Society (Vol. LIX) Manila, 1996. This is the second edition of the work. The portions reproduced here are excerpts from the author’s diary, as mentioned in his memoirs.
